Study Cycle: 1
Lecturer(s): prof. dr. Pisanski Peterlin Agnes
Students gain familiarity with those parts of speech which have not yet been discussed in English I, II and III (pronouns, adjectives and adverbs) as well as with the structure of the prepositional phrase. Furthermore, the course focuses on topics such as non-finite verbal forms, passive voice and word order.
Special emphasis is given to the relationship between the structure, meaning and function. Students are encouraged to compare grammatical categories of English and Slovene and to consider the different ways of expressing selected elements of English grammar in Slovene
