Celebrating St. Patrick's Day!

To celebrate St. Patrick day 2024, the Embassy of Ireland in Ljubljana is hosting a special programme of events.

Friday 15 March, Grand Plaza Hotel, Ljubljana

We are thrilled to be able to offer the opportunity for friends of Ireland to have an authentic Irish dance and music experience right here, in Ljubljana.

Starting at 15:30 dancers from Šola irskega plesa will be there to teach children how to take their first Irish dance steps and will keep them entertained with an array of creative workshops. Free admission.

At 16:30 there will be a free Beginner's Irish dance class for all who would like to try this fun and energetic activity. Free admission.

At 19:30 join us for the highlight of the celebration, a traditional Irish music show, with live music by Turn On Irish. There will be singing and dancing 'ceol agus craic' and plenty of cheering with ‘Sláinte’. Free admission - due to venue capacity limitations we are asking visitors to please register here.

Sunday 17 March, Kinodvor

In cooperation with the Embassy, the award-winning Irish film ‘The Quiet Girl’ will be screened at 19:00.
